How to Create a Beach Scene.
Hey you guys!
Saying this Summer have been out of the ordinary is an understatement. Many of our plans were canceled and we are all adjusting to new normals. But this does not mean our Summer has to be a bummer. I am trying to make the best of the situation and decided that if we cannot go to the beach, we can bring the beach to us.
Today I want to show you how to transform a simple dresser on a beach scene.

How to bring the beach indoors.
This dresser has been painted in Dixie Belle Paint Dixie Belle Blue, Daisy, and Cobalt Blue for the Sky. I randomly blended these colors together leaving room at the bottom for the grass.
Then I painted the grass on this piece. I used V-shaped strokes in all the base colors to achieve this grassy look. After the grass was dry, I applied the flowers. The flowers are a transfer called Floral Collection from Redesign with Prima. I added a little more grass on top of these to blend it all together.
I sealed the whole piece with 2 coats of Clear Satin Topcoat. I applied 2 extra coats of Gator Hide to the top for extra durability!
But if these colors are not your first choice, let me help you. Take my quiz and determine the home decor that perfectly matches your style.
